Resources for private practice reimbursement work

Calculators, honest comparisons and a month end checklist for therapists who bill clients directly and never file a claim with a payer.

Everything on this page is free and written for one reader: a licensed therapist, counselor or psychologist in private practice who stays out of network, sets a fee, collects it at the session and hands the client a document to submit. No account, no email required for the calculators.

The comparisons are straight about where other kinds of software fit better than we do, because a practice still choosing its first system of record needs something wider than we are. The calculators run in your browser and store nothing. The checklist stands alone as a working document whether or not you ever buy anything here.

Who writes The Reimbursement Desk, why allowed amounts and superbill fields turn up in nearly every guide here, and how to reach a real person with an out of network billing question the site has not answered yet.

The free material stays free

The calculators, the comparisons and the readiness checklist stay open with no account, because a therapist working out reimbursement at eleven at night on the last day of the month should not have to trade an email address for a number. What we sell is much narrower than any of it: codes, diagnosis, fee and license details held per client, and a superbill run that goes out on time every month. Ask for a walkthrough when the paperwork rather than the caseload is what is wearing you down.
